We have three more events on the way … CIVIL WAR due in stores in just a few weeks; ANNIHILATION in fourth quarter 2012, and AGE OF APOCALYPSE to kick off 2013. We’ve been busy! You’ve been asking and our store will be updated with every product slated for release along with street dates in the coming days. We’re committed to meeting these dates as is our licensing partner, Marvel. We’ll keep you posted if things do shift in any way … even by a day or two.
There is additional news that impacts you.
Our BASIC GAME was originally conceived at 148 pages; it came in at 232 pages. We made the conscious decision to keep the price at $19.99. It’s a value product and we are committed to making BASIC GAME as accessible as possible for all. However, the increased production costs incurred with BASIC GAME impact the core products of the remaining events – specifically the Premium and Essentials Editions of each Event Book. The Premium Editions of the three events include the full Operations Manual found in BASIC GAME. This means the page count for the Premium Editions is much heftier than conceived at 368 pages. Because of this, we are raising the Premium Edition price point to $49.99. We’re also expanding our Essentials Editions up from 160 pages to 232. Essentials Editions will now have a list price of $39.99.
We will not be increasing the price points of the paper supplements for each Event. They will remain at $19.99, paperback, full color, 128 pages.
For those of you that have pre-ordered through our site, you will not be charged the increase. For those of you that have pre-ordered through your local gaming store, we will be working with retailers and their distribution partners to find the best solution.
We know this is a hurdle for many. We hope you see our perspective in that we’re offering great content—more substantial content—in beautifully produced product. The price points contemplated are in line with the market today and we knowyouknow that we did not come to this decision lightly.
Asalways, we’re open to your comments, feedback and suggestions. Contact Us and we’ll respond. We look forward to hearing from you.
