At the Warehouse

Freight shipping 3 pallets of books across a continent is apparently a rather unpredictable enterprise, because the estimated delivery date on the tracking kept falling backwards, until the shipment arrived at the warehouse (which I really ought to mention belongs to the great folks at Level 99 Games) yesterday. That means that apart from the hardcover GSS books (which starting their journey today), they now have everything. We didn’t make Christmas or even the end of the year as I’d been hoping, but we’re really close. The very last thing is that the fulfillment service has sent me a sample package, so that we can be sure the way they’ve packed the books and such will get everything to you safe and sound. This whole thing has been a big learning experience, and the latest lesson is that there really isn’t any part of the process that’s immune to unexpected delays. Anyway, pictures!

In other news, I’m just about finished with the first draft of Fantasy Friends. I’ll be giving it a once-over in the next week or so before sending it out to see what our backers make of it. I also have an artist working on artwork for the four bonus scenarios, and an editor (who is also my business partner) fixing up the translated manuscript for Mononoke Koyake.
Anyway, Happy New Year! 2013 was kind of an amazing roller coaster of a year for us, and I’m looking forward to 2014, to getting Golden Sky Stories out into the world, to seeing what people do with it, and to doing new things in gaming. Thanks for all your support!
