Bei uns ist gerade der zweite Kernband zu Hellfrost eingetroffen: Rassilon. Bilder haben wir auch gleich gemacht und hier könnt ihr das Werk bestaunen:


Und damit kommen wir auch zur zweiten Neuigkeit. Am kommenden Wochenende (27.+28.7) lädt die Gilde der Fantasyrollenspieler alle Fantasybegeisterten nach Bonn auf die Feencon ein. Auch Prometheus Games wird vor Ort sein. Wer sich also gleich seinen Rassilonband signieren lassen möchte kann das gerne machen. Auf der Feencon werden die Redakteure Sebastian und Sascha sein, die auch gerne eure Fragen beantworten. Demorunden zu Hellfrost werden natürlich auch stattfinden.
Für diejenigen, die sich für Nova interessieren ist es vielleicht gut hier zu erwähnen, dass der Autor Daniel dort Demorunden zu Nova anbieten wird.

Genug Gründe um sich an diesem Wochenende auf den Weg nach Bonn zu machen.

Weird Wars Rome wird offenbar als Kickstarter produziert. Wer hätte das gedacht? (Ich hätte eine solide, ehrliche Verlagsarbeit erwartet, statt mal wieder "betteln gehen" bei den Fans - aber naja.)

Auf jeden Fall interessiert mich dieses neue Weird Wars Setting so sehr, daß ich doch tatsächlich bei diesem Kickstarter mitfinanziere.

Für Fans militärischen Rollenspiels sind die Weird Wars Settings eine echte Fundgrube spannendster Militärunterhaltung. Ich bin jedenfalls sehr neugierig auf den Weird Wars Rome Kickstarter.

The Weird Wars Rome Core Book
Weird Wars Rome is a setting and campaign book for adventures of violence and horror in the ancient world. It includes new rules for Spoils of War, Campaign Interludes, and Legacies that allow characters to pass down their deeds and treasures to future generations of their bloodline.

Der erste Hellfrost-Quellenband Hellfrost: Rassilon befindet sich mittlerweile in der Auslieferung. Wie der Name schon sagt, beschäftigt der Band sich mit Rassilon, dem Hauptkontinent von Hellfrost. Mehr über Hellfrost, den Kontinent Rassilon und seine Bewohner erfahrt ihr auf unserer Hellfrost-Website.

Wie euch sicherlich auffallen wird, wenn ihr das Buch in Händen haltet, befindet sich am Ende des Buches die englische Rassilonkarte, englisch, nicht deutsch. Das ist kein Druckfehler, sondern dem Umstand geschuldet, dass die Karte leider nicht in einem editierbaren Zustand vorliegt. Die Karte einzudeutschen wäre so teuer gewesen, dass wir den angekündigten Verkaufspreis nicht mehr hätten halten können. Tatsächlich wäre es sogar teurer gewesen, als eine komplett neue Karte zu zeichnen. Wir haben uns daher eine andere Lösung überlegt und finden damit hoffentlich eure Zustimmung. Zunächst stellen wir heute das Glossar der Karte als kostenloses PDF online, damit ihr nicht herumraten müsst, welcher Ort wohl mit welcher Übersetzung gemeint ist. Parallel lassen wir eine neue Karte für Rassilon anfertigen. Sobald uns die Karte vorliegt, bekommen alle Vorbesteller die Karte als Poster kostenlos zugeschickt. Wir stellen die Karte auch dem Handel zur Verfügung, falls ihr eure Bücher in eurem Stammladen gekauft habt. Parallel gibt es die Karte dann auch als kostenlosen Download und für kleines Geld als eigenen Artikel zu kaufen. Wir hoffen, damit eine gute Lösung für alle gefunden zu haben.

Nun ein paar Worte zur Zukunft von Hellfrost. Die Produktion der drei Kernbände (Hellfrost: Spielerhandbuch, Hellfrost: Rassilon und Hellfrost: Kreaturen) ist beinahe abgeschlossen. Der Kreaturenband befindet sich aktuell im Lektorat und wenn nichts mehr dazwischen kommt, wird der Band in rund zwei Monaten erscheinen. Parallel dazu erscheint das angekündigte Zubehör wie die Bennie-Sets und Würfel.

Das wird es allerdings noch nicht gewesen sein. Im Laufe des Monats erscheint endlich das lang erwartete Abenteuer Piraten des Kristallstroms und bis Weihnachten erscheinen noch zwei weitere Hellfrost-Abenteuer. Das kommende Jahr wird dann ein wirklich eisiges Jahr, mit deutlich mehr Hellfrost-Produkten als bisher angedacht. Aktuell vergrößern wir fleißig unser Hellfrost-Team und arbeiten an einem Mix aus Übersetzungen und deutschen Eigenentwicklungen wie bspw. deutsche Abenteuer oder sogar umfangreichere Kampagnen. Wir müssen noch ein paar Entscheidungen treffen aber im Laufe des Monats habe ich sicherlich genauere Infos für euch.

[Silver Gryphon Games] The S'mores Demon (Savage Worlds)

Deep in the bonfire pits of Camp Wicakini, decades of campers creating S’mores created a mass of confectionary disaster as thousands, maybe even millions, of marshmallows were roasted, falling into the bonfires. Joining the marshmallows were hundreds of pounds of chocolate and box upon box of graham crackers as campers discarded unwanted S’mores, or the bigger kids took the S’mores from the younger kids and threw them into the blazing hot coals. The result became a coagulated mass of sugar, kept intact over the years by equal parts of rage, sadness, and inadequacy.

Today, the final S’more hit the fire, spawning the S’mores Demon; a camp Demon whose driving need is to act out violently against those it sees, lashing out through the emotions that created and sustained it for decades before gaining sentience and form.

This freebie from us is to celebrate National S'mores Day, which apparently is a holiday! Kick back, relax, and terrorize your players with this abomination from beyond as it tears out of the ashes of the camp fires of Camp Wicakini to destroy and crush everything and everyone around it!
