Wiederauflage der oWoD?
erfen wir einen Blick über den Großen Teich. Dort gibt es momentan eine Petition in der die Unterzeichnenden den Verlag White Wolf* dazu bringen wollen sein Rollenspiel Old World of Darkness wieder zu verlegen. Die old World of Darkness wurde 2004 eingestellt und durch die neue World of Darkness, die sich sowohl regeltechnisch, als auch inhaltlich stark von der vorhergehenden Version unterscheidet ersetzt. Der Grund der Petition sind die hohen Sammlerpreise für Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Mage: The Ascension, Wraith: The Oblivion und Changeling: The Dreaming. Nun soll die Wiederveröffentlichung in einem von 3 vorgeschlagenen Modellen angestrebt werden
Dazu steht geschrieben:
We, those represented by the undersigned titles, have organized ourselves in order to petition the White Wolf Corporation in order to encourage the reprinting of the following role playing game systems:
Vampire: The Masquerade
Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Mage: The Ascension
Wraith: The Oblivion
Changeling: The Dreaming
We have gotten years of entertainment from these various systems. After their discontinuation in 2003, the act of attaining copies of source books to these systems has become both difficult and costly. We hope to encourage White Wolf, through show of our devotion to these product through our numbers, to take one of the following courses of action:
1. Revive the old World of Darkness systems with updated rules for comparability.
2. Publish further copies of the now out of print source books, if only for a limited amount of time.
3. Endorse a third party to publish the complete source books online for public access.
We, those represented by the undersigned, are more than willing to pay for these books should they become readily available. But if there can be no widespread printing of these books then we demand availability through other means. We thank the reader for their time and hope that it has swayed them.
