Die Feencon steht vor der Tür und macht am kommenden Wochenende (19./20.07.) einmal mehr Bad Godesberg zum Zentrum für alle Fantasybegeisterten – genauer gesagt sogar zum 25. Mal! Wir sind natürlich mit einem eigenen Stand vor Ort und verbinden das Jubiläum der Feencon gleich mal mit unserem Savage Worlds-Jubiläum.

Am Samstag starten wir daher abends ab 20 Uhr im Foyer der Stadthalle eine kleine Savage-Geburtstags-Party. Neben Knabberkram und Getränken, gibt es einen Haufen Gewinne abzustauben, darunter auch echte Raritäten. Mitmachen kann jeder Besucher der Feencon.

Für Wolsung haben wir zum ersten Mal unseren kompletten Demotisch vor Ort und bieten das ganze Wochenende über Demorunden an. Wer will, darf Chefredakteur Sascha mit Fragen löchern oder sich direkt mit ihm im Duell messen.

Für Savage Worlds haben wir die vergriffene Probefahrt nachdrucken lassen und weil die Con so ein grandios rundes Jubiläum feiert, haben wir natürlich ein passendes Gewand gewählt. Die Savage Worlds Feencon-Edition der Probefahrt gibt es übrigens nur auf der Con. Wer zu spät oder nicht kommt, muss es schlicht tragen wie miese Würfelergebnisse…

Savage Worlds wird 5 Jahre!


Das Wichtigste vorweg, wir feiern in diesem Jahr den fünften Geburtstag des deutschen Savage Worlds und haben uns dazu einiges ausgedacht. Neben tollen Rabattangeboten erwarten euch auch Wettbewerbe, Gewinnspiele und waschechte Partys. Mehr dazu hier. Die erste größere Party haben wir auf der Feencon schon gefeiert und es hat viel Spaß gemacht. Ehrlich gesagt, hatte das Ganze mehr von einem Stammtisch als einer echten Party aber in gemütlicher Atmosphäre bei Bier und Kuchen mit Fans und Kollegen zusammenzusitzen hat einfach was Besonderes. Wir haben dann auch gleich mal bei der Orga den Platz für nächstes Jahr erneut gebucht. Mal schauen, ob wir aus der Party ein festes Event machen können.



Spielkinder Initiative


Nach unserem letzten Aufruf haben wir eine Menge Zuschriften und Hilfsangebote bekommen. Es ist toll, zu sehen, wie engagiert die Community ist und wie sehr dieses Projekt von allen Seiten unterstützt wird. In den letzten Wochen war eher ich der Flaschenhals bei dem Projekt aber in der kommenden Woche ist wieder mehr Zeit dafür da.



Gentleman’s Edition Revised – Hardcover


Wohl das am meisten erwartete Buch aus unserem Programm. Der Anliefertermin liegt in KW35 (unter Vorbehalt). Für den normalen Vertrieb wird sich die Auslieferung aus logistischen Gründen dann noch um ca. 2 Wochen verzögern, alle Teilnehmer der Finanzierungsaktion erhalten ihr Paket jedoch umgehend. Ich habe hierzu noch zwei dicke Überraschungen aber dazu sage ich erst etwas, wenn ich auch Bilder habe. Wir wissen, dass ein paar Leute sehr ungeduldig auf das Buch gewartet haben und möchten uns bei allen für die nervenzehrenden Verzögerungen noch einmal entschuldigen. Wir werden euch die Wartezeit am Ende noch mit einem tollen Gimmick versüßen.



Spielleiterschirm


Die Anlieferung wurde mir zwischenzeitlich für KW 32/33 avisiert. Auch hier gilt, Teilnehmer der Finanzierungsaktion erhalten ihr Paket umgehend.



Hellfrost Kreaturenband


Joa, nichts ist so gefährlich wie der Helfrost, nicht wahr?! Aber ich habe glücklicherweise gute Nachrichten: Die finale Datei könnt ihr seid gestern hier runterladen bzw. kaufen und dank dem lieben TeichDragon auch direkt mit Lesezeichen. Die Anlieferung des Buches erfolgt laut Plan in KW35, zusammen mit Piraten des Kristallstroms. Wie schon zuvor angekündigt, erhalten Teilnehmer der Finanzierung das Abenteuer kostenlos. Sollte jemand das Abenteuer ohnehin schon vorbestellt haben, soll er mich bitte anschreiben. Wir finden dann schon eine andere Entschädigung.



Hellfrost – Allgemein


Das erste deutsche Abenteuer ist bereits in der redaktionellen Abnahme und die Planungen der nächsten dickeren Bände laufen auf Hochtouren. Wir haben bald ein Redaktionstreffen dazu, von dem ich euch dann live und in Farbe berichte.



Sundered Skies, Rippers, Necropolis und das nächste Jahr


Die Sundered Skies-Anthologie ist immer noch in der redaktionellen Abnahme (soll ja auch gut werden) und die Rippers-Anthologie im Lektorat. Für Necropolis haben wir mittlerweile einige Übersetzungsangebote, so dass ich auch hier in Kürze mit dem Start der Arbeiten am Update rechne. Für das nächste Jahr stehen übrigens die drei ausstehenden Kompendien auf dem Plan und das nächste große Übersetzungssetting. Dazu gibt es dann aber erst nächsten Monat mehr Infos. Man soll ja nicht gleich sein ganzes Blei verschießen…



Elyrion


Zu meiner Schande muss ich gestehen, dass die Vorabpakete noch nicht raus sind. Die Verzögerung ist tatsächlich meine Schuld, weil ich den Signiertermin platzen lassen musste. Ich hoffe aber, dass wir das nächste Woche nachholen können und dann gibt es das erste Überraschungspaket für alle Teilnehmer der Aktion.

Hier sein noch einmal der Hinweis auf die Reihe Neues aus Mictlan erlaubt, in der wir euch regelmäßig mit kostenlosem Spielmaterial versorgen. The Haunted Straits is set in the ENnie nominated Broken Earth setting, but with a little work can be used with any post-apocalyptic campaign.

That pretty much sums up our feelings at TAG right now. When you guys asked for a compiled Region Guide book with tons of maps we were a little dubious it could be funded, such were the costs involved of producing a book of that scope. Well, not only did you ask for it but but you made it a reality!

This project is huge, not only in terms of your fantastic response but also the content. Twenty of the 28 bonus pages you unlocked have now been written (see below), but that’s just the start of what will be a taxing, enjoyable, and lengthy process. Please remember this Kickstarter wasn’t a pre-order to cover printing – funding for the art and maps has only just been achieved. We’re at the start of a long road, not the end. The Atlas isn’t the only project we’re working on, but we’re used to juggling multiple complex projects, and April 2015 is a realistic release date.

We’ll keep you updated with major developments as they occur, but right now that’ll probable be no more than once a month. More happens nearer the end of the production, once art flows in, chapters are assembled, and the editors get to work.

The Hammered Head: Instantly recognizable by its sign (a hammer smashing down on a bare head), this New City tavern sells the strongest drink in the city, a potent wine known locally as Hammer. Most people can manage only two small flagons before they begin to stagger like they’ve taken a serious blow to the head. The drink is so well known that it has spawned a local expression—anyone staggeringly drunk, regardless of the drink they have consumed, is said to be Hammered.
