Cubicle 7 – Cakebread & Walton Announce Clockwork & Chivalry
Cubicle 7 Entertainment and Cakebread & Walton are pleased to announce they have formed a publishing partnership to bring out “Clockwork & Chivalry” – a brand new roleplaying game set during the English Civil War, although not the one you’ll have read about in your history books…
“I’m a big fan of alternate history and also of twisted histories so when I was first sent Clockwork & Chivalry the premise immediately appealed to me. After reading through the draft, and the associated proposal, things moved very quickly from there.” Said Cubicle 7’s Angus Abranson.
“We are thrilled to be working with such an exciting publishing partner. It’s great to see our game alongside the other cool RPGs that Cubicle 7 produces...” said Peter Cakebread of Cakebread and Walton; ”...and being able to use Mongoose’s new RuneQuest II system is a privilege as it really fits the gritty and heroic atmosphere we wanted for the game,” said Ken Walton, finishing Peter’s sentence for him.
About Clockwork & Chivalry
Magick and Clockwork battle for supremacy in a world turned upside down!
The Seventeenth Century is a time of romantic Cavaliers and dour Puritans, religious strife and political upheaval. England, a land riddled with hunger, pestilence and superstition, is gripped by Civil War. A multitude of competing factions struggle to survive. The King has been executed and Cromwell has usurped power. But in this richly-imagined alternate history, the conflict continues. Two great armies lay waste to the country, the Royalists aided by fearsome Alchemical magicks, the Roundheads by mighty Clockwork death-machines.
Old beliefs are crumbling and the future is up for grabs. With a heart filled with Righteousness and a cause worth fighting for, you enter the maelstrom. Adventure in a detailed and vibrant setting, powered by Mongoose Publishing’s RuneQuest II system.
