[L5R] Design a School contest

Wie in jedem Leg der Race for the Throne gibt es auch im vierten wieder einen RPG contest, diesmal geht es darum eine neue Schule zu designen:

Design a School (RPG Contest) Punkte nach Platz: 7/5/3/1 Deadline: Feb 28, 2008
Create an awesome new School for the L5R RPG! Due by February 28, 2008. Email submissions to race@alderac.com. Use L5R Third Edition Schools as a template. Winners may be used in the L5R RPG.

Wenn ich Zeit und v.a. Inspiration finde, werde ich mitmachen. Und damit es nicht heißt, habe ich erst 3 Tage vor Abgabefrist erfahren, poste ich das mal hier.

P.S.: Ob auch Advanced Schools oder Paths erlaubt sind, ist noch nicht bekannt.

How many submissions are allowed?

I'm pretty sure there were multiple entries allowed in the other contests so I would EXPECT you could here as well.

Any word count ? Limitations on the timeline period ?

I don't know about the timeline, but if this is for an RPG School, and it's longer than two pages, my eyes will likely gloss over and I'll just skim.

Do we have to write a school of our own clan ? I means, some may want to suggest minor clans schools or Shadowlands schools, who aren't directly related to any faction

I would say that Great Clan Schools count toward that clan, and then if you write a Minor Clan, Ronin, or Imperial School you have to declare for whom you are trying to get points. Tying that School's background to the clan in question in some way will increase your favor in the eyes of the judges.

For shugenjas and others schools, can we include special kihos, spells and katas related to the school ?

You can if you like, but they will not be used as a determining factor for the winner.

Ich hab tatsächlich zwei Ideen eine Advanced School für den Scorpion Clan und eine Basic School so halb für den Scorpion Clan... ^^

Ich find es ja fast schade, dass New Path jetzt schon ausgeschlossen wurden, da man viele tolle Sachen damit machen kann...

Sehe ich es richtig, dass es keine einzige Monk Advanced School für 3rd. Ed. gibt?
Meine Güte, dann muss ich mich wohl wirklich anstrengen, dass ich eine gute Hitomi Advanced School hinkriege, die einer Veröffentlichung Wert ist. Ach ja, und so gut, dass sie veröffentlicht wird, obwohl es gar keine Hitomi mehr gibt...

Ja das siehst du richtig...

Aber das ja ein ganz witziger Aufhänger für ne Advanced School... Nachdem die 3. Ordes zusammengelegt wurden, hat man dann für jede Order eine Advanced School, die versucht die Technik nach der Verschmelzung zu konservieren... ^^
