Es ist nicht das Gegenstück zum Dhampir. Kinfolk sind ein wichtiger Teil des Werwolf Universums. Sie sind die Beschützer der Werwölfe. Da Werwölfe nicht mit normalen Menschen interagieren können sind Kinfolk dafür zuständig. Sie bewachen die Caerns, kümmern sich um die Geschäfte der Werwölfe, sie unterstützen sie, ziehen die jungen Werwölfe auf, sie sind die Ehepartner von Werwölfen (denen es verboten ist untereinander kinder zu zeugen) und sie sind Geschwister der Werwölfe. Ohne das Kinfolk gäbe es keine Werwölfe mehr.

Sie können zwar in geringem Maße Gaben aus der Geisterwelt erlernen und Fetische benutzen, haben aber eigentlich keine besondere Kräfte (abgesehen davon das sie nicht vom Delierium betroffen werden). Ein Dhampir ist irgendwas unnatürliches das aus der Verbindung zwischen einem Vampir und einem Menschen entsteht.

Kinfolk hingegen sieht es so aus das Werwolf zu sein rezessiv vererbt wird. Nur wenn von beiden Elternteilen das Werwolf Gen kommt wird ein richtiger Wolf drauß. Nichts wiedernatürliches, sondern ein ganz normaler Mensch der Mitglied der Werwolf Gesellschaft ist.

Ein Kinfolk hat mehr mit einem Ghul (nur minus die Abhängigkeit) gemein als mit einem Dhampir.

Ok, danke. Hatte ich in einem Forum wohl falsch verstanden. Da wurde auch von besonderen Fähigkeiten gesprochen. Mit dem Vergleich zum Dhampir meinte ich allerdings nicht die Stellung innerhalb der Vampirgesellschaft (die werden ja sogar oft verfolgt, da die Ahnen in ihnen den Anfang vom Ende sehen), sondern die Entstehung und die Stärke. Bei der Stärke hab ich mich aber ja anscheinend geirrt.

Mmm... Vanilla flavoured mortal.

Amongst all the supernatural beings running around the place, it's easy to forget that the World of Darkness has its share of plain mortals. Mortals, however, are just as interesting as the rest of the denizens of the World of Darkness. They can star in great tragedies, become greate heroes, and excel in a huge variety of different abilities. They can also be considered the unpolished gems of the world - they can still become anything.

So don't be alarmed or disappointed. Being a Mortal may just mean that you have a variety of conflicting traits, or that you've yet to explore your full potential.

Besides, someone has to stick around to feed the vampires, provide glamour for the changelings, and be ravaged by the Red Talons.
