AW: War of Silk and Steel
Gegenfragen:
ZITAT:
Month of the Rooster, 1167 (Fall)
The Lion march against the Dragon in retribution for the slight to their honor during the War of the Rich Frog. The conflict is largely skirmishes, with no major engagements. Attacking the mountains with a large force proves difficult, because the Lion cannot attack the Dragonfly Clan without incurring the wrath of Isawa Sezaru.

Month of the Tiger, 1167 (Late Winter/Early Spring)
A group of Dragon nemuranai hunters, operating in Crane provinces without authorization, inadvertently discover a cache of weapons and gunpowder hidden by harriers in case of conflict with the Lion. A group of harriers are in the area, and attempt to kill the Dragon to conceal their secret. During the fighting, the gunpowder detonates, and only a single combatant on each side survives, both seriously wounded.

Month of the Hare, 1168 (Spring)
Daidoji Shihei recovers and arrives in Toshi Ranbo, where Doji Ran brings him before Asahina Keitaro. Concerned that the Dragon are seeking the Anvil of Despair, Keitaro suspects that they may investigate the Crane holdings in the Imperial City, and so moves his captive, Daigotsu Rekai, out of the capital and into Kosaten Shiro to avoid the Dragon. Simultaneously, the wounded Dragon survivor tells Mirumoto Rosanjin what happened before perishing from his wounds.

Month of the Dragon, 1168 (Spring)
The Khan, intent on reaching the Imperial City to lend his support to the Shogun occupation there, deploys a small expeditionary force of a few dozen samurai to find a safe path through the fighting. A combination of navigational errors and detours to avoid Lion encampments results in the force crossing the Lion border. There, they are discovered and destroyed by patrols led by Ikoma Fujimaro and Matsu Yoshino. Fearing the Khan will mount a second, larger offensive, Otemi withdraws the Matsu and Ikoma from the Dragon conflict and fortifies the Lion border near Kaeru Toshi. The Akodo are tasked with maintaining the security of the Dragon border, and begin reinforcing their front line south of Dragonfly lands.

Month of the Dragon, 1168 (Spring)
Mirumoto Mareshi and Imperial Magistrate Mirumoto Narumi arrive at Kosaten Shiro and present papers demanding to search for gunpowder. A panicked Asahina Keitaro attempts to kill them and destroy their papers, fearing they will discover his prisoner Daigotsu Rekai in the basement. The attempt fails, and Mareshi summons his forces, surprising the guard and laying waste to the fortress. Rekai escapes in the confusion.

ZITAT ENDE
