Laut Justin Achili ist mit einer neuen Inkarnation von Changeling in der neuen WoD vorerst nicht zu rechnen.

W8 und W12? Warum nicht. So könnte man die Schwierigkeiten etwas besser dosieren.
Instead of Clans with set powers etc. the idea is to have a range of powers that a character chooses from, allowing the player to build "his" conception of what a vampire should be able to do. There are a few "bloodline" type groups but they are more extended families than Template/Splat material. Vampires divide themselves into factions based on philosophy instead of innate abilities. Cults, Covens, brotherhoods, etc. Instead of "Clans". The actual families are sort of the aristocracy built up around particularly powerful individuals.
All the components are said to already be visible in current WW products. Orpheus has the model for how powers are bought with its "horrors" system instead of levels. "Kindred of the East" has the same sort of "no two critters alike" bound by shared philosophies in the Dharmas systems. The growing importance of Paths and Roads in later V:TM and Dark Ages products are a hint of what is to come (supposedly).
I have no idea how reliable this information is. Some of it is probably speculation and some might be total BS. Some might be dead on. That's the difficulty with spy webs spread across the Internet. You get a high garbage to signal ratio in the results.
Laut Justin Achillis eigener Aussage, ist er auch als Autor für V:Requiem mit von der Partie.Original by Sentinel

Everyone seems to complain how personalationality of the horrificostology in Vampire went downhill and got replaced by politics. I liked the political intrigue. In my opinion, it's hard to make real "personal horror" work for a roleplaying situation where you have several people, and you can't really describe "I sit in a basement eating rats and crying for a week" with any degree of poetry.
I agree with this mostly. I do like the opportunity to cry and eat rats where it serves the story, but I don't think that should be the be-all and end-all of the story.
Lots of discussion here and there about making it all very personal again. I like the personal aspect; I really do. On the other hand, when a buncha vampires get together, they need something to do, and politics makes for the introduction to a story in which stuff actually happens. If Interview with the Vampire was just Louis decrying the monster he had become for 400 pages, it wouldn't have been as interesting as it was.

This is just rumor, but I've heard that it's going to go something
like this:
Attacker - Dex + Brawl/Melee/whatever minus Defender's successes.
Damage is Str + weapon bonus (if any) + each success from Attack
roll not negated by Defender's roll.
Defender - Dex + Dodge, if Defender gets more successes than
Attacker, attack fails. Defender soaks with Stamina, full Sta
raiting for bashing, 1/2 Sta rating for lethal, Sta +
Blood/Gnosis/whatever + Willpower for Agg.
If this is even close, then I like it. It means that someone with 5
Str and a big axe is someone to be afraid of. No more "5 successes
on Attack roll & 0 successes on Damage roll." What, you hit him
with a big axe at full strength, but it didn't hurt? It also means
that someone with 6 Dex and 5 Dodge is gonna be next to impossible
to hit, and that bad ass down the block with the 5 Sta and 5
Fortitude (or whatever it'll be called) is just gonna laugh at the
guy with the axe.
Nifty. BTW, are we going to get something a-la Book of Nod? It was very interesting to read, the "Myths" books.
I probably shouldn't answer this, but maybe. And it might be written by Greg Stolze. If it exists. Which it might not.

Justin
