Furry Family Games

Friedberg/Nuremberg, January 26th 2016: Pegasus Spiele presents the new family games Yeti and Animals on Board at the Toys Fair in Nuremberg. Many expeditions have set out to find the Yeti and they all returned empty-handed. But Pegasus Spiele succeeded in discovering the legendary mountain dweller. Animals on Board is a game by Pegasus Spiele and their editorial partner eggertspiele. This cooperation produced many masterpieces like the Spiel des Jahres 2014 Camel Up and the Kennerspiel des Jahres 2012 Village.

Two to five adventures are looking for traces of the Yeti in the family game of the same name from Benjamin Schwer. All players are looking for the Yetis footprints or even better take photos of him. But the Yeti is camera-shy and so the adventures, which can be of age eight and up, have to climb high to remote regions of the Himalaya. On your turn you will roll the dice and evaluate the result. But beware of the snow which can even turn into a proper blizzard and hinders your attempts to find the Yeti. With positive dice results, you can climb the mountain, camp there, discover footprints or buy useful equipment and photographs.

In addition to its fun gameplay, Yeti is a joy to look at. With its 3D-elements and fun illustrations by Dennis Lohausen (illustrator of Camel Up and Village), Yeti is definitely one of the highlights of Pegasus Spiele’s spring releases. An adventure for the whole family.

Maybe it’s because of climate change due to global warming why sea levels rise. In Animals on Board, two to four players, ages eight and up, have to gather animals on their arks to save them from the threatening flood. But that is not that easy because a pretty famous person called Noah holds the exclusive rights to any kind of pairing. So players have to gather a single animal of a kind or three or more animals of a kind which will form a valuable herd. First, it is important to split the big crowd of animals in front of the arks into smaller groups. But beware of the fellow players who will certainly pick just the animals you need.

Animals on Board from Ralf zur Linde and Wolfgang Sentker combines fantastic artwork, simple rules and the excitement of a fast and funny family game.
