Konvertierung Ein Fan-Setting fürs deutsche Savage Worlds (erstes Brainstorming)

So wie der World of Warship Mod.

Leicht OT:

TWELVE FESTIVE ADVENTURE SEEDS

1) Although Christmas trees span the social divide in Germany, in Britain they are the preserve of the rich. In a bid to make them more popular with the masses, the Christmas Society plans to erect one in Trafalgar Square on Christmas Eve (the traditional day for erecting and decorating them). A prize is offered to whoever delivers the largest tree to the Society in the week before Christmas Day.

2) The Christmas Society is hoping to start a new festive tradition by granting the wishes of poor children. Some are relatively simple (a new dolly ,or a goose for Christmas dinner), while others are much more difficult (for daddy to come home). The Society is currently selecting random globetrotters to fulfill a random child’s wish. Those who refuse will be publicly lampooned by the League as humbugs.

3) The Travelers Club is planning a race from Lapland, the traditional home of Father Christmas, to London. Contestants will be flown to Lapland via a hired airship and must then make their way back to London without resorting to air travel. To make the race more challenging, each contestant must gather toys and gifts to the value of £10 along the route. These will be distributed to London’s poor.

4) The remains of Saint Stephen, whose feast day is 26 December, are supposed to lie in the Church of St. Stephen in Jerusalem. The original church was destroyed by Crusaders as it lay outside the city walls and could have been used as a base by the Saracens. However, plans are afoot to rededicate a new church built on the ruins (historically this occurred in 1900). An elderly, eccentric, and extremely rich member of London’s high society is hiring globetrotters to deliver a donation to the monks.

5) The Polar Club is determined to reach the North Pole this year, and to raise its flag on Christmas Day morning. Globetrotters and investors are being sought from across the Leagues to give the expedition the best chance of success. (Historically, no expedition reached the Pole until the early 20th century).

6) London has come to a frozen halt! A mad scientist has created a weather machine and unleashed heavy snow, blizzards, and temperatures so cold the Thames has started freezing. Unless he is found and stopped, the city may be plunged into a false winter that will result in thousands of deaths and an economic collapse.

7) A dastardly villain has struck at London’s social elite! Fate has prevented any death, but Christmas crackers containing a small but highly destructive amount of explosives have injured several prominent citizens. The villain behind this is undoubtedly a weird scientist, and Scotland Yard has called upon the Leagues of Adventure to help crack (no pun intended) the case.

8) Historically, the first international multi-discipline winter sport event was the Nordic Games in 1901. In Leagues of Adventure, the Sporting Gentlemen’s Association proposes a similar idea in the 1890s. To be held in the Scottish Highlands, the Winter Games’ schedule includes figure skating, skiing, ice hockey, curling, and sledging (as well as fencing and swimming). The pride of nations, not to mention certain Leagues, is at stake, and competition is likely to be fierce. Undoubtedly some nations will resort to cheating.

9) The Christmas Society, in partnership with the Polyglot Club, is planning a Christmas concert at the Albert Hall. It is seeking globetrotters to scour the world during the year and record traditional festive season songs (religious or secular). These will then be sung at the concert by a number of famous opera singers and choristers. Money raised from ticket sales will be given to various charities. Prizes are offered to the globetrotters who return with the most songs that end up being used in the concert.

10) The first department store Santa’s Grotto opened in Liverpool in 1879. They have since grown in popularity, with stores across the country installing them to attract customers. This year, many stores feature jolly clockwork automaton Santas supplied by a mysterious benefactor. London’s top stores are then ransacked in the dead of night. Among the missing goods are the clockwork Santas. Were they stolen, or is there more to the automatons than meets the eye?

As an alternate adventure, clockwork automatons dressed in Santa costumes have been breaking into the homes of the rich and stealing jewelry and paintings.

11) In 1856, the small town of Sante Fe, Indiana, changed its name to Santa Claus as part of its application for a post office (really, it did! Note that between 1895 and 1928 it was called Santaclaus). The Christmas Society is planning on sending a party of orphans to the town in time for Christmas Day, and is seeking suitable guardians from among the Leagues. What could possibly go wrong in escorting a group of scruffy urchins (more than a few of whom have criminal appetites) across the Atlantic?

12) The Automobile Club and Society of Aeronauts have created a flying sleigh! All they need now are candidates prepared to fly the contraption (close to being a deathtrap) around the country during the festive season. The Christmas Society has supplied presents to be delivered to poor children up and down the nation. Unfortunately, a rich and eccentric weird scientist has “perfected” his own device, and refuses to be upstaged. Thus the stage is set for a festive race between the rival sleighs. Honor and reputation are at stake!
